My name is Kamenko Milenkovic. I was born as the only child in a family deeply devoted to the media. From my high school days, I have been involved in journalism myself. I wrote columns for many youth magazines across the former Yugoslavia and worked freelance as a writer and host of music programs on Radio Vojvodina.
Combining my two greatest passions, I completed two university degrees: History at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad and Journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb. Since 1989, I have been a permanent editor of entertainment and music content at Radio Television of Vojvodina.
Over the past 15 years, I have been the creator of the film travel series “Center of the World”, which aired weekly on RTV. Throughout my career, as a complete creator—author, cameraman, screenwriter, director, editor, and narrator—I have produced over 400 half-hour travel features and reports, conveying not only facts but also atmosphere and description. These became some of the most-watched segments of the RTV program.
I have been a long-standing member of the World Federation of Travel Journalists and Writers in Tourism (FIJET) and a member of its Executive Board. My travel films have received around twenty awards at various festivals, among which the Marko Polo award for travel and tourism film, which I won in 2016, remains the most meaningful to me.
Convinced that 80 meters of altitude and 200 meters of distance between the two banks of the Danube is the perfect measure for life, I continue to live and create in Novi Sad, between my journeys.
